The anti-hydrolysis agent BTWR-500P is a representative variety of polymeric carbodiimide anti-hydrolysis agents, which is widely used in biobased and biodegradable plastics such as PLA, PBAT, PGA, PPC, and PHAs, as well as condensation-type engineering plastics such as PET, PBT, and PA. It is also applied in polyester-based polyurethane elastomers, adhesives, and coating systems. BTWR-500P exhibits excellent thermal stability, can withstand high processing temperatures, prevents precipitation, significantly improves the hydrolytic stability of materials, and extends the lifespan of products under harsh conditions such as high temperature and humidity.
The recommended addition level of BTWR-500P in PU systems is approximately 1.0 phr based on the amount of polyester polyol. In adhesives, the usage is approximately 1.0 to 2.0 phr based on the solid content. For PLA and PBT, the recommended addition amount is approximately 1.0 to 2.5 phr based on the amount of resin.
