The chain extender BTCE-9013 belongs to a polymeric epoxy-functionalized chain extender. The epoxy functional groups in its structure can react with the terminal carboxyl groups, terminal hydroxyl groups, and terminal amino groups in the long-chain molecules of the resin to achieve polymer chain extension, which aims to improve the mechanical properties and characteristic viscosity of the resin, and inhibit polymer hydrolysis. It can be used in food contact materials.
BTCE-9013 is generally blended and extruded with modified resins through twin-screw or single-screw extruders. The recommended usage amount for bio-based and biodegradable plastics such as poly(adipic acid/terephthalic acid) butanediol ester (PBAT), polylactic acid (PLA), poly(butylene succinate) (PBS), poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC). For condensation-type recycled plastics such as polyamide (PA), poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT), polycarbonate (PC).
